Working Student Quality Assurance (f/m/d)

As a working student in quality assurance (QA) at shyftplan, you will be part of a highly motivated international team with a strong ambition to solve our customers’ problems.


Your tasks and goals

Your main responsibility will be to write and execute test-scenarios based on product specifications and perform smart exploratory tests as part of our Scrum-based development and release procedures. To minimize boring recurring tasks and improve our efficiency, you will have the opportunity to learn automating those test-scenarios.

Also you work side-by-side with our customer support team to provide technical support and manage incidents. This will provide you with useful learnings to improve our tests further and make a noticeable impact on quality and thus customer satisfaction.
You will closely collaborate with the development and product teams within the Scrum framework to deliver a high-quality user experience.


  • test our software, including user acceptance testing, exploratory testing and incident management.
  • extend our test automation suite which enables us to automatically verify the proper functionality of our web and mobile applications
  • close collaboration with the development and product teams within the Scrum framework
  • thinking from the user’s perspective with an eye for detail, accuracy and correctness

Job requirements

  • You are enrolled at a German university for at least two more semesters

  • Strong ambition to deliver high-quality web applications

  • Some experience in programming, especially using JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Fluent English in speaking and writing

  • You are based in Berlin

  • Having experience in test automation frameworks like Cypress or Selenium is a plus.
