Your Playground

As a cloud engineer at shyftplan, you will be part of a highly motivated international team with a strong ambition for solving our customers’ problems. Your main responsibility will be extending, maintaining, and improving our infrastructure which serves as the foundation of our software solution. You will work on building a secure and dependable environment together with the developer teams within the Scrum framework to deliver a high-quality user experience. Key Expectations for a Cloud Engineer at shyftplan are:

  • Collaborating with our development teams and our CTO to extend and refine our infrastructure
  • Utilizing AWS services to provide the foundation for our software
  • Ensuring reliability, dependability, and security of our infrastructure
  • Openly discussing possible chances for improving existing workflows and processes
  • Seeking and giving feedback on your work and that of your coworkers via multiple channels (one-on-one and group meetings, code reviews)

The tech stack relevant for this role includes

  • Docker
  • AWS Beanstalk, Fargate and Lambda
  • AWS Aurora, Redis and DynamoDB
  • Multi-Org Setup
  • Continuous Deploy of new Infrastructure

Required qualifications
  • Professional experience in managing cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in designing and building infrastructures for peak loads
  • Strong ambition to provide maintainable and secure systems
  • Writing templates to effortlessly recreate entire services and systems
  • Excellent understanding of the entire software release lifecycle and working in an agile team
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
